It looks like we could be getting a new Watch the Throne album after all—at least according to Kanye West. Today (Sept. 8), out of nowhere, the G.O.O.D. Music boss tweeted that Watch the Throne 2,  which would in theoretically be a sequel to an LP he and Jay-Z put out seven years ago, is on the way.

In the tweet, Kanye wrote, "throne2 coming soon." Obviously there aren't a lot of details, but this should definitely give hope to folks who'd long since given up on the idea of a new Hov and Yeezy album. After all, a lot has happened since they dropped their first joint project all the way back in 2011.

In the time since the release of the LP, Jay-Z's wife Beyonce has given birth to three children. In that same period of time, Kanye and his wife Kim Kardashian West have welcomed three children of their own.

In a note that applies more to a potential reunion of The Throne, 'Ye and Hov have had their fair share of issues. About two falls ago, Kanye called out Jay-Z during a concert. A short time later, Yeezy was hospitalized after suffering "temporary psychosis due to sleep deprivation and dehydration."

Hov eventually addressed Yeezy's mid-concert rant about him on his 2017 album, 4:44. On "Kill Jay Z," a standout from the LP, Hov claims to have let Kanye borrow $20 million before Yeezy directed a mid-concert rant at him a short while later.

On the track, Hov spits, "But this 'fuck everybody' attitude ain't natural/But you ain't the same, this ain't KumbaYe/But you got hurt because you did cool by 'Ye/You gave him 20 million without blinkin''/He gave you 20 minutes on stage, fuck was he thinkin'?"

Since then, though, Kanye and Hov have seemingly patched things up. Is that enough for the release of a Watch the Throne sequel? Does Jay-Z have to be involved for the project to be a proper sequel project? Would Yeezy do another Throne album with anyone but Hov? We'll just have to wait and see.
