Jamaican Guinness Punch Recipe
Almost 20 years ago, my wife, who is from Jamaica, introduced me to a drink using Guinness Extra Stout.
Now if you know anything about Guinness beer, you know that it is a nice, black beer with a good-looking mocha head and excellent lacing. Some people describe it as having touches of baker’s chocolate, roasted malts and light coffee. I think one thing everyone can agree on is that the roasted malt dominates the flavor of this beer, leaving a hint of bitterness on the palate.
So if you’ve never had a glass of this great beer, or maybe you have and just find it to be a bit overbearing for your taste, check out this recipe that my wife introduced me to a long time ago called Guinness Punch, straight out of Jamaica, mon!
And enjoy Buffalo On Tap, the craft beer festival, this Saturday, Fe-BREW-ary 15 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Buffalo Convention Center.
