The dry weather we are having won't last long as a winter storm is approaching the Western New York area over the next couple of days. How much snow or ice will we see? Like most storms in this area, it depends on where you might be.

This winter has been rather mild compared to those of the past. I remember the years we got snow just about every day! It seems that we get more rain than snow these days and the freezing and thawing pattern is more frequent. There have been only a handful of good days for those who like to snowmobile. If you live north of the 400 expressway, you may not even have had a chance to get your sled out this year.

Be ready for a slippery commute for Tuesday as this system bears down on Buffalo. The forecast calls for a cold week with more snow. The good news is that January is almost over and the days are already getting longer.
