Young Black men in Buffalo are invited to take part in the "Unleash Your Greatness" Young Men's Leadership Conference. It will be taking place from Friday, August 5 through Monday, August 8, 2022. There are still spaces available for teens ages 15 to 18. The event is presented by the Independent Health Foundation and sponsored in part by Power 93.7 WBLK. The organizer, Duncan Kirkwood, has spent many years working with the youth and activating the community. The 3-day conference will take place at Beaver Hollow Conference Center, located at 1083 Pit Road, Java Center, NY 14082.
This is going to be powerful. It's going to be like a mix of boot camp, pledging, resilience, and leadership training.
~ Duncan Kirkwood
