Golden State Beats Cleveland Wins First NBA Title Since 1975

Finals MVP Andre Iguodala scored 25 points, and the Golden State Warriors beat the Cavaliers, 105-97, in Cleveland in Game 6 of the 2015 NBA Finals to clinch the Bay Area franchise's first title since 1975.

Stephen Curry added 25 points for the Warriors, while Golden State forward Draymond Green notched a triple-double with 16 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists.

LeBron James had 32 points, 18 rebounds and nine assists in a losing effort for the Cavaliers. Though the Cavs once held a two-games-to-one edge in the series, they were unable to compete with Golden State’s depth over the second half of the last three games.

As a result of the loss, the city of Cleveland remained without a major sports championship since the Browns won the 1964 NFL title.
