Former Patriot Aaron Hernandez Dead

There’s word that former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was found dead in his prison cell at the Souza-Baranowski Correction Center in Shirley, Massachusetts.  Corrections officials say he was found hanging in his cell this morning.  He was found dead at 3:05 am, lifesaving attempts were made but he was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

Officials say Hernandez hanged himself using a bedsheet that he attached to a prison window.  They also say he blocked entrance to his cell by jamming the door with various items.  Massachusetts State Police are on the scene and investigating.
