Flood Watch in Effect for All of Western New York Through Friday
WNYers are not used to very many Major Natural Disasters. The most we deal with is a major Snowstorm, or two, per year, which we're pretty much well prepared for each year before it happens. However, there's a new Natural Disaster concern here locally as The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for all of WNY.
That may not sound like much of threat, but think again. The announcement by the National Weather Service regarding a Flood Watch for all of WNY is a bit more serious that we even care to know...but it would be good to know how serious this threat is so we're prepared for anything catastrophic that might happen. According to WGRZ Storm Team 2, 'totals could reach 1.5"-2" of rain during that time'.
