A winter weather advisory has been issued for southern Erie, Wyoming, Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties from 1 am to 6 pm on Thursday, according to WIVB. The cold weather is moving into our area tonight (January 15). The rain will turn into snow, as temperatures hit the 20s and 30s early Thursday. The storm will also bring gusts of wind up to 45 mph. Saturday and Sunday are likely to bring more high wind gusts and winter weather, so bundle up!

"The combination of lake effect snow impacting areas southeast of the lakes, along with very gusty winds, blowing and drifting snow may result due to gusts of this magnitude. Hazardous travel conditions are possible throughout the day Thursday as visibilities will be reduced and roadways may turn slippery. This may create some travel concerns for the morning and evening commute." ~ WIVB
