Do You Consider Your Name “Ghetto”?
So, If you've been keeping up with Bravo's the new hit reality show, Married to Medicine, which follows a group of predominantly black women that are married to or are doctors themselves, then you might be familiar with Mariah, who’s married to a Bangladeshi doctor.
Apparently her birth name was LaKeisha, and she changed her name because she thought it sounded too “ghetto”!
Now for the record, I don't think that her birth name was ghetto at all, but do you think that some of our names are too ghetto or is it just a part of our culture? Would you change your name if you had that chance?
