Do you know the origin of Valentine’s Day?  Why do people eat candy covered hearts? Although it may be a day of love and good feelings; it is actually a day that has its origins in Catholicism that celebrates a saint by the name of Valentine who was martyred in Roman times. It is from the Roman festival “Lupercalia”.

Valentine's Day, the day when people especially couples, express their undying love for each other and retail businesses earn big bucks. Valentine's Day has become an multi-billion dollar revenue generator! Just use your brain and think, why do we need one day out of the year to express our love and romance to someone? We should be expressing our feelings of love and romance on a daily basis and no one should be telling us when to do such!

I think that Valentine's Day is highly overrated and a joke to say the least! What do you think?
