Cursive Handwriting Lessons Making a Comeback in Schools!

I have to say I felt pretty uninformed when I found out that the mandatory teaching of Cursive Handwriting has been long gone in our schools and replaced with an option to teach it if schools or Teachers want to.

It was ironic that I discovered that Cursive Handwriting was a thing of the past when I saw a recent News Story regarding certain states trying to restore it, keep it, and or bring it back to schools.

In the State of Washington, Senator Pam Roach (R) is an advocate for bringing back mandatory cursive writing in public schools in her state.

“Part of being an American is being able to read cursive writing. If children are not taught cursive they can't read historic documents written in cursive.”
