While Buffalo celebrates the likes of the St. Bonaventure Bonnies, and the UB Bulls Men's and Women's Basketball Teams' Winning Seasons, there's a hidden gem of a team in Buffalo that often gets little to no recognition ... Buffalo's Park School Pioneers, who came away with a nail biting, 59-57 last minute bucket victory over the Albany Academy Cadets at Cool Insuring Arena in Albany on Saturday, according to News Reports

Reports say that Park School of Buffalo Guard, Noah Hutchins, scored the Park School Pioneers’ last nine points, with his final two-points being a layup he scored after rebounding his own missed shot.  That effort sealed the win for the Pioneers.

I attended Allendale-Columbia School, a Private School in Rochester, NY (quite a while ago) and remember playing Park School and Nichols Academy (both Buffalo Private Schools) in football and basketball.  Each of our schools, at the time, competed against one another in a somewhat different Class than the larger Public Schools due to a lesser amount of students in our schools.  As a matter of fact, I recall playing Park in 6-Man Football, as opposed to the traditional 11-Man Football, again due to the smaller number of students in either of our schools.  I'm not sure if scheduling challenges still remain for Park or Nichols, but whether that's the case or not, Park School defeated all the teams necessary to take home the Class A Boys Federation Tournament of Champions Title.

CONGRATULATIONS GUYS!
