Buffalo’s 5 Favorite Thanksgiving Side Dishes
Thanksgiving is here, and if you're anything like me, then you're just dreaming about eating all of that amazing food that will be waiting for us at whatever time dinner is served.
We've literally waited all year for this time of year to roll around, and it's finally time to start getting ready to celebrate family and friendship with Thanksgiving. It is that time of year that we get together and spend time with each other while we bond around all of the things we have to be thankful for.
In Buffalo and Western New York, we have several things to give thanks for. Among those are the fact that we live in one of the best cities in the nation, we're home to New York's only football team, and we have some of the best food ever to be eaten.
This then raises the annual debate about what exactly are the top things we should put on our Thanksgiving dinner plates this year. We all know about the turkey or ham; that's a given, but what about the most important part - the side dishes!
We all have our favorites; it might be mashed potatoes or mac & cheese. Maybe it's yams and collard greens. Perhaps it's a non-traditional side like wings or pizza logs.
You could be like me and have a plate full of dressing.
Whatever it is, Buffalo has its favorite sides. I had to go to Facebook and ask my network this exact question.
So which one ranks as the number one side dish in Western New York? Here's what you came up with:
