We've teamed up with Hennessy to give you a chance to win a $25 Visa gift card for Black History Month.  This is the Black history fact you'll need to win today, Friday, February 19, 2021.  Once we announce it's time to call, if you have the correct fact for the day, you'll win.

You must be 21 years or older to play and win.  Please see our complete contest rules.  This contest will take place on weekdays from today through February 26.

Buffalo has a rich history of African-American businesses, which we feel need to be highlighted, especially for Black History Month.  Monday through Friday, at 10:50 am and 3:30 pm, DJ Hassan and I will give out the Buffalo Black history fact listed below.  If you are caller #10 and can provide the correct answer (think Jeopardy), you'll win a $25 Visa gift card courtesy of Hennessy.  The answer is also provided below because this is really about education and awareness.  We want you to not only win, but to also learn about Buffalo's Black history.

This contest is powered by Hennessy, who has partnered with us to highlight Black-owned businesses in Buffalo.  If you are a business owner, you can submit your business to be highlighted as a part of our 'Sable Series," courtesy of Hennessy.

The ice cream parlor expanded to a billiards club in 1920, and in 1930 Montgomery formed a cabaret which initiated the Little Harlem hotel and nightclub in 1934. A few years later she converted this business into the Little Harlem Hotel and nightclub. ~ One Region Forward
