One of the best snacks around Western New Yorkers is bison dip and chips, and I think we can all agree on that; however, what many people tend to debate over is: what chip should you dip?

There’s a lot of options. If you take a brief stroll down the chip and snack aisle at a Wegmans or Tops, you will find an entire aisle dedicated to potential candidates. However, there is a clear favorite.

While some responses suggested new non-chip ideas to eat with bison dip, the most popular food combination is ruffles and bison dip.
There are tons of different ruffles flavors, too. There’s original ruffles, cheddar and sour cream ruffles, sour cream and onion ruffles…and more.
The pizza roll combination would be interesting, and I think I’ll have to try it…just to see if it’s any good.
I will say…bison dip and chips has historically been a cheap and affordable snack, but as Bob Dylan said, “The Times They Are A-Changin’.”
Bison dip used to be in the $2 range, and now it costs more than $3.
Not to mention, I purchased a regular-sized bag of Ruffle chips last week, and it cost $5.69!
Yikes…it’s about $10 now for our favorite and easiest food combination, and it’s only going to keep going up from here.
