This WNY Company Is Ranked The Best Employer In New York State

One company headquartered in Western New York has landed in the top spot on the Forbes 2022 list of the best employers in New York State. The list, which is in its fourth year, ranks companies across the United States. Forbes produces the list with its partner Statista,

The list is divided into 51 rankings—one for each of the 50 states, plus the District of Columbia—and was compiled by surveying 70,000 Americans working for businesses with at least 500 employees. Surveys were conducted anonymously, allowing participants to freely share their opinions. The final list ranks the 1,382 employers that received the most recommendations.

There are several WNY and Rochester companies that made the top 25 best companies to work for in New York State:

20. Rochester Institute of Technology

Moog, Inc., was named the best employer in New York State by Forbes for 2022. Moog, which has its headquarters in Elma, employs approximately 13,000 people.

New York's Governor Kathy Hochul made an announcement on Friday, March 18, 2022, that Moog was adding jobs in WNY. Moog, which already employs over 3,500 people in Western New York, announced 500 new jobs.

Gov. Hochul said,

New York is committed to helping companies like Moog invest in Western New York and expand their state-of-the-art facilities to generate new high-paying jobs in the region. When it comes to economic development we have one goal: to be the most business- and worker-friendly state in the nation. This latest expansion by Moog creating up to 500 new jobs is evidence of New York’s thriving manufacturing sector and is a testament to our successful efforts to rebuild and revitalize our state’s economy.
