National Black Business Month kicked of yesterday in MLK Park, headed in Buffalo by Richard Cummings, Vice President of The Black Chamber of Commerce of WNY.

What is National Business Black Month?  The idea behind Black Business Month. which is being recognized Nationally for the ninth year, calls on you to patronize a Black-Owner Business everyday during the month of August.

Black Business Owners & Entrepreneurs are traditionally known to have the highest rate of unemployment and lower business survival rates.  National Black Business Month is designed to help eduacte the gerneral public about te struggles of Black - Owned Vusiness and is aimed at helping Black Business by having persons patronizinhg thsos businesses everyday during the month.

The Black Chamber Of Commerce has a calendar of suggested Local Black Businesses, services, and ideas you can patronize during the month, from Black Caterers to investing in a publicly traded African-American company.
