The U.S. Coast Guard rescued 14 of the 16 crew members, who abandoned the replica tall ship HMS Bounty off the North Carolina coast in rough seas. One crew member was found later "unresponsive," and the Captain, the other missing person, has not been found as of this writing. This replica HMS Bounty was a 180-foot, three-mast ship. It was built for the classic 1962 movie 'Mutiny on the Bounty'. The ship is reported to have sank after its water pumps failed.
