14 People Were Arrested In Allegany County

Police in Allegany County were busy this past month. There were 14 people arrested. One of those arrests is a high-profile crime in which two New York State Police Troopers were injured.

Two parents were arrested yesterday, June 15, 2025, in neighboring Stueben County. According to the Wellsville Sun, a person saw a baby crawling out of a second-story window on the roof. Bath residents, 38-year-old Joseph R. Bennett and 30-year-old Destiny E. Smith, were arrested by Bath police and charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and failure to provide sustenance to two dogs.
