One former Buffalo Bills player is in legal trouble after being arrested in Niagara County.

According to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, former Buffalo Bills defensive end Alex Carrington was arrested in Lockport during the overnight.

Carrington has been charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree (felony), criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree (felony), resisting arrest (misdemeanor), obstruction of Governmental Administration (misdemeanor), driving while intoxicated (misdemeanor), operating a vehicle with an expired registration (misdemeanor), along with several other vehicle and traffic violations.

Carrington was pulled over on S. Transit Road early Monday morning and according to TMZ, officers saw a gun magazine in plain sight in the pocket of his driver's side door. That's when Carrington is accused of restarting his car and attempting to flee.

Officers at that point tased Carrington and officers were able to get him out of the car. Carrington had a loaded Glock 17 hidden under his leg as they wrestled him from the car. They found two more loaded magazines. The car was impounded.

Carrington was a third round draft pick out of Arkansas State in the 2010 NFL Draft for the Bills. Carrington played for Buffalo between 2010-2013, after playing for the At. Louis Rams in 2014 and then finished his career with the Bills in 2015.
