If you have been thinking about adding a fur baby to your family, now is the perfect opportunity. The WNY Furtastic Adopt-a-Thon is happening Saturday, February 8.  Entry to the WNY Furtastic Adopt-a-Thon is free. The event will feature fostering networks, animal rescue organizations, animal shelters and others, in partnership with the Erie County Health Department. There will be lots of dogs and cats at the event, looking for their fur-ever homes. There will also be raffles, fun activities, prizes and more.

Every pet adopted at this event will mean two lives were saved. The pet that has been adopted and the one that we’ve created a space for whether it be at a local shelter, within a loving foster home or safely in the hands of a rescue. ~ WNY Furtastic Media Release

The Adopt-a-Thon will be held on Saturday, February 8, from 10 am to 3 pm. The event will be held at Pvt. Leonard Post Jr. #6251, located at 2450 Walden Avenue in Cheektowaga. Potential pet parents will be able to interact with many agencies and animals in one convenient location. Hopefully you will fall in love with a fur baby and add to your family! If you adopt a pet, it will be micro-chipped for free and receive complimentary registration by the Erie County Health Department. Adopters will also walk away with a goodie bag.

According to WNY Furtastic's website, most rescue organizations require:

Completed adoption application
