23-Year-Old Rapper Turns To Teaching To Inspire The Youth – 716 Spotlight: Dean Chatham
I’ve been noticing the talent in upstate so we here at Power 93.7FM created a platform to spotlight the next superstar Queen City style. This week the “TALK OF THE TOWN” “716 SPOTLIGHT” comes from North Buffalo N.Y. 23 year old Dean Chatham. This rapper and part-time teacher came by the studio to chop it up with your boy SteelBoutMoney. Chatham even brought his brand new single "Shake" off his upcoming EP. Trap Adventure One. We talked about his class "The Power Of Hip hop", where he teaches kids around the ages of 12-14 at Buffalo public Schools. We also talked about his creative process for making music. This young man is truly a character with a bright future; nothing but great vibes and I literally laughed the whole interview. Check his video and interview out below to see why he is the talk of the town.
"For the ppl who haven't had a chance to hear your music what do you bring to the music scene that's not here now?".....
"A lot of elements so many it's countless...lets see I'll say ..new, profound energy, inspiration, outlandish, outer worldly, trippy, grounded, amazing spacey all in one. "
"Your a teacher too...tell the ppl what your teaching. "" I teach a class called The Power Of Hip Hop, you know, it's a class I created with my mom and the director Dr. Fatima Morrell....at Buffalo public schools .....I'm halfway thru my first whole session... Do you know how crazy that feels man? I'm only like 10 years older than these kids."
