Fans are a little over a month away from the premiere of season four of 50 Cent's Power series on STARZ, but they can take a quick breather to celebrate a major milestone. According to Deadline, the show has hit the no. 2 slot on the premium cable list, putting it directly behind Game of Thrones on HBO, which is in the lead.

The outlet originally reported the story of Power creator and executive producer Courtney Kemp signing on a new overall deal with Lionsgate and STARZ to develop series for the network, as well as work on projects that could be sold to outside outlets. The end of the article breaks down the high ratings of the show, having reached the network's peak ratings season-after-season, with the highest coming during the season 3 premiere this past year with 2.26 million viewers.

"Year-to-year, the Season 3 premiere was up more than 58% from the Season 2 and 389% from Season 1 premieres, respectively, in sets of eyeballs. When multiplatform and delayed viewing is factored in, Power has been averaging an audience of around 8 million. That makes it the second-most-watched series on premium cable after HBO’s Emmy winning Game of Thrones," stated the outlet.

Season four is set to premiere on June 25, as revealed in recently released trailers that hit the web this past monthPower stars 50 Cent, Omari Hardwick, Naturi Naughton, Lela Loren and Joseph Sikora, but we're sure season four is in for some surprise cameos and plot twists.
