Law Enforcement Officers have just snagged another large drug bust, just days after seizing more than $1 Million in illegal weed.

According to a report by WKBW-TV, Police Officers from the Niagara Frontier Transit Authority arrested a group of people traveling into the Buffalo Airport from Sacramento, CA on an American Airlines flight with a large amount of marijuana in their possession.

The NFTA reports that four individuals arrived in Buffalo around 11 p.m. on Saturday night. During a baggage inspection by officers and the K9 unit, they were able to discover more than 120 pounds of marijuana which had been spread out between 6 different bags which had been stowed with the checked luggage. Officials say that the illegal weed has a street value of around $400,000.

The following people have been arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the First-Degree, a Class C Felony:

  • 52-year-old Deon Burnett,
  • 18-year-old Deon Burnett Jr.,
  • 18-year-old Jacari Brooks, and
  • 49-year-old Kevin Tucker.

If they are convicted on this charge, they could spend a maximum of 5 years in state prison.
