DJ Bandana Black
Born and raised in Buffalo, Bandana Black (Rashimee Wilson) always had a passion for music. What began with a young Bandana writing poems and producing music soon led him to be one of the most sought-after DJs in the 716 area. Bandana started off at WBLK through a communications internship for his major at ECC (South). He only needed about two months for class credit, but he was so dedicated that he stayed for nearly a year. After spending so much time around the radio station and getting to see what "the pros" -- DJ Wolf, DJ Stoney and DJ Hassan -- did, he developed a strong interest in becoming a DJ. He would stay around just watching the WBLK DJs mix and scratch, and he went home and practiced what he heard until he developed his own style and skills. Now you can catch him spinning almost every week at all the popular clubs in Buffalo and the surrounding areas. He is also very dedicated to showcasing some of his city's very talented artists through the various mixtapes he has released and through the various local volunteer events he supports. Through hard work and dedication, Bandana has earned the opportunity to be heard every week on 93.7 FM WBLK.
