You’re Invited to a COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic In Buffalo
With the recent resurgence of COVID-19 infections and deaths, this community-sponsored COVID-19 Vaccine clinic is happening right on time.
The Live Well Erie Coalition is partnering with the Erie County Department of Health to sponsor the Coronavirus Vaccine Clinic on Saturday, August 21, 2021. The clinic will take place from 12 Noon until 5 PM at New Hope Baptist Church, which is located at 2090 Genesee Street, near the corner of Kerns Avenue, in Buffalo.
If you're not able to make it to New Hope Baptist Church, there is a second vaccine clinic happening at the exact same time at Riverside Park in Buffalo.
The sites will over either the Pfizer or Moderna Vaccinations and people ages 12 and older will be able to participate. Those between the ages of 12 and 17 will need permission from their parents and/or guardian in order to obtain a vaccine shot. Appointments are encouraged but are not required and walk-ins are welcome to just show up.
These two clinics are sponsored in part by CONECT, The Community Health Worker Network of Buffalo, The Buffalo Prenatal Perinatal Network, REACH Buffalo, Most-Valuable Parents of Buffalo, and the Buffalo Urban League. These community groups have partnered together to ensure that there are lots of other necessary community services are available in addition to the vaccinations.
With Erie County being on the verge of being designated as an area at High Risk of Community Transmission clinics like these are becoming a necessary tool for health officials to help reduce infections and deaths.
To Register, or for more information about this clinic, and others, you can contact the Erie County Department of Health here, or you can call them at 716-858-2929.
