Why is Swimming Now Prohibited at Darien Lakes State Park

It's going to be nice this weekend. Nice enough for a swim and a dip in the pool or lake. BUT there is one lake you cant swim in this weekend and moving forward.Swimming is not allowed at the beach located at Darien Lakes State Park because of unsafe E.coli levels.

Park officials posted the announcement on the park's website Thursday. Officials test the water every day. It's not clear if officials will allow people to swim at Darien Lakes State Park today.
