As a proud alumni of the Jamestown High School Red Raider Marching Band, I love seeing marching bands and their students get credit where credit is due!

Congrats to the West Seneca Marching Band on being invited to WorldStrides OnStage!  They will perform at the Camping World Bowl, joining bands from across the country in the halftime show!

This invite is reserved for only the most talented student performers.  Director John Blickwedehl's 80 students will rehearse at Camping World Stadium in Orlando with the mass band, and learn from nationally acclaimed adjudicators.  Mr. Blickwedehl knows what he's doing...he's been to WorldStrides three times already (and he's a Grammy nominee)!

I'd be remiss if I didn't share one of my favorite memories of being in the JHS Marching Band.  That time when DAVID LETTERMAN called us and asked us to do a special performance, shutting down 49th Street in New York City during rush hour?

Yeah, that was cool. (I was in the "G"...)
