Brides and Grooms all over Western New York are happy to hear the latest news about some COVID-19 restrictions being lifted. As many of us know, planning a wedding could be one of the most stressful things that anyone can do, and in the middle of a pandemic just multiplies the stress. According to WGRZ,  New York will allow larger capacity weddings under certain guidelines which include testing guests for COVID-19.

Governor Andrew Cuomo announced some new guidelines this Friday morning, that weddings can be held at 50% capacity up to 150 people and the event must be approved by the local health departments. The new rollback is because the post-holiday surge of cases is continuing to decline.

As data on infection rates and hospitalizations continue to improve, we must start taking steps to jumpstart our economic recovery as long as public health can be protected.

According to WGRZ, as of Friday, the statewide positivity rate was at 4.65%, which is the lowest since December 11 of last year. This is great news not only for brides and grooms but for many vendors as well. Photographers, DJ's and food vendors have been struggling as well during these tough times that everyone is facing. I have had plenty of cancellations or postponements due to the COVID-19 restrictions, so it will be good to see some form of normalcy.
