Born Steveland Morris in Saginaw, Michigan this singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist was blind at birth on May 13, 1950. He signed to Motown Records at the age of 10 where he did back up work for a number of musicians. Then in 1962, he recorded his first song under the name “Little Stevie Wonder” that Motown founder Berry Gordy gave him.

Of course we all know that Stevie Wonder is consider a musical genius and has gone on to produce a  number of hit records and one of which is today’s “Bonus Beats Thursday Remake Retake” called “That Girl”.

“That Girl” was released in 1982 and went all the way to #1 on the Billboard R&B Chart and stayed there for 9 straight weeks.

In the early 2000’s Joe contributed to a remake album featuring different Stevie songs and here is his cover of this great song.
