The Trump administration is suing New York over immigration. Personally, I'm still waiting for the price of eggs and groceries to come down, but Trump and his Justice Department have made it a priority to sue New York. One could surmise this is a part of his revenge tour, which seems to prioritize things that don't make life more affordable for the working class. I would love for the state and federal governments to help me keep more of my money by lowering taxes and prices, but alas, I doubt that will happen.

Both sides seem to be extremely litigious. Trump has a history of suing everyone every chance he gets and New York Attorney General Letitia James, the first African American and woman elected to hold the position in New York, has been leading the way in suing to stop Trump's executive orders.

Now, Trump's Attorney General, Pam Bondi, has announced that Trump's Justice Department is suing the State of New York, Governor Kathy Hochul, and Attorney General James. The Trump regime has also filed a lawsuit against Mark Schroeder, who is the Commissioner of the New York Department of Motor Vehicles, according to The Mirror US.

The issue at hand is how New York is handling undocumented immigrants (and quite possibly the fact that Attorney James won her civil fraud case against Trump in his former home state, which pissed him off royally). Bondi said, "New York has chosen to prioritize illegal aliens over American citizens. It stops. It stops today."

Trump invited white South African immigrants to relocate to the United States but has been increasing deportations of undocumented immigrants from Mexico, the Caribbean, and South America. Trump has been trying to keep his word to his supporters to increase deportations of illegal immigrants. New York ICE Agents have been given new daily quotas.

Bondi threatened NY, saying, "As you know we sued Illinois, and New York didn't listen. So now, you're next." Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker's office responded to the Trump lawsuit against his state,

"The bipartisan Illinois TRUST Act, signed into law by a Republican governor, has always been compliant with federal law and still is today. ... Instead of working with us to support law enforcement, the Trump Administration is making it more difficult to protect the public, just like they did when Trump pardoned the convicted January 6 violent criminals. We look forward to seeing them in court."

Gov. Hochul nor Attorney General James have replied to the lawsuit as of the publication of this article.
