The show is based in Canada and you may not know this, but the extrodinary mansion the Rose family is in during the start of the show, is currently for sale...and it's less than two hours away from Buffalo!

The mansion at 30 Fifeshire Rd (near Toronto) is built like a 17th century French palace. It seriously looks like something that would've hosted a king and it blows my mind a building this elegant and gigantic, that was on a hugely popular TV show, is less than a two hour drive from Buffalo.
