The Remake Retake Featuring Three Different Artists [VIDEO] [POLL]

Today’s “Bonus Beats Thursday Remake Retake” is a first because it features three songs instead of the usual two.

The song was originally recorded in 1969 by The Friends Of Distinction and reached the number 5 position on Billboards R&B Chart and was certified gold.

Then in 1986 the gentlemen from my hometown took a stab at it and delivered a number 2 record on Billboards R&B Chart.

Luther did his version of this classic in 1995 and even though it was vintage sounding Luther it did not do as well on the R&B Chart as did the previous remake and original; only reaching number 28.

So what are your thoughts on this great song?
