The Buffalo Zoo Is Planning To Re-Open with New Policies
The Buffalo Zoo has been closed for 3 months, and is now planning to re-open its doors soon. There is no specific date as of yet, but according to the WIVB news report, the Zoo's re-opening plans are set.
The Buffalo Zoo will be part of Phase 4 of WNY's reopening, per the state's guidelines. All typical social distancing requirements will be in place of course, but some other big changes you can expect are:
- Getting your temperature taken at the door
- Tickets must be purchased in advance
- Masks will be required for all Zoo patrons (ages 3+)
- The Zoo will be closed once a week for cleaning
Buffalo Zoo CEO Norah Fletchall offered this comment, according to WIVB:
Our number one concern is obviously developing a plan that allows our guests and our community to return to the zoo safely. The extra added precautions that we have to take are based on the idea that we have to keep our staff safe and we also have to keep our animals safe so that’s very important to us so all of those guidelines will help us to make sure that those things happen.
