The Toronto Blue Jays have been playing home games in Buffalo for the past two weeks and are committed to playing at Sahlen Field through at least the Fourth of July, while there’s hope the team can return to Toronto at some point this season (when the U.S.-Canadian border is reopened).

The Blue Jays will host the Tampa Bay Rays on July 4th at Sahlen Field in downtown Buffalo and will reportedly wear a special hat to commemorate the holiday.

According to Chris Creamer (via SportsNet), the Blue Jays will be wearing these Fourth of July hats this season!

These hats look so cool! The Blue Jay has an American flag design but still celebrates their home country of Canada and the hat is all red, instead of all blue.

I think these are pretty sharp. The all red is a great look and I think it’s awesome that it’s honoring two countries on the American holiday.

The Blue Jays will be going back to Toronto for their home games eventually, but here in Buffalo, we’re going to enjoy every last moment they’re here. Western New York has embraced the Blue Jays over the last several weeks and hopefully more home games will be played at Sahlen Field after 2021.

Make sure to get out there for a game this summer. Even if you don’t love baseball, it’s an experience many should take advantage of.
