The 59th Annual Niagara County Peach Festival Is Here
If you love peaches, get ready! The 59th annual Niagara County Peach Festival is happening this weekend!
Mark you calendar for September 9th - 11th for the Niagara County Peach Festival! The festival is expected to bring more than 30,000 people to Academy Park in Lewiston. You'll be able to get your fill of more than 13,000 pounds, or 6.5 tons, of local peaches, according to the Buffalo News!
There will also be fresh peach shortcake made by the DiCamillo Bakery of Lewiston, which sounds so delicious! If you're a baker, get your recipe ready! There will be a peach recipe contest! Get your recipe in by August 29th: mail to to Barbara Walck, Niagara County Community College, 3111 Saunders Settlement Road, Sanborn, NY, 14132. There will also be a peach eating contest, 5K run, live music, carnival rides, live music and entertainment and the crowning of a peach queen!
