Major Chain Restaurant Closes Last Western New York Location
If you were to ask just about any economic analyst or government official, they are likely to tell you the American economy is booming. Looking at the various stock indices, you may want to agree with that assessment. However, while some aspects of the national economy are doing well, others are seriously struggling.
Retail outlets and fast-casual restaurants all over the country are closing their doors. Some are looking to restructure with the help of bankruptcy, while others are just going out of business.
In the last few weeks, outlets like Big Lots, BOBS, and True Value have announced they are closing, and now a restaurant that was once a staple in Western New York has closed its last location.

On Thursday, October 24, 2024, TGI Fridays shut the doors on its last Western New York location for the last time. The TGIFridays inside the Boulevard Mall on Niagara Falls Boulevard are officially closed, putting an end to the chain's long-standing relationship with Buffalo and the 716.
The Boulevard Mall location was the last remaining one in the Buffalo area; the downtown Buffalo location, on Main Street in the Theatre District, closed in May 2024.
According to the Buffalo News, TGI Fridays in Syracuse's Destiny USA has also suddenly closed its doors.
TGI Fridays joins Red Lobster, Ruby Tuesday, and Pizza Hut in eateries that have left the region. If you have a taste for Jack Daniels sauce, you'll need to head to Clifton Hills in Niagara Falls, Ontario, as that location remains open and is the closest one.
