The need for medical supplies is still a major concern.  As the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 continue to grow, the need for ventilators (in particular) will also go up.

Ford was one of the first to automakers to begin making ventilators from some of their extra parts and now, Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla automobiles has announced that he will begin using the Buffalo plant to manufacture more ventilators.  According to WGRZ, they are currently working with Medtronic to produce ventilators at its Fremont plant.

The state now has 4000 ventilators in their system.  They've ordered 7000 more and are still looking for ways to split ventilators so that 2 people could use one.
