Will New York Kick Tesla Out Of The State?
Elon Musk's Tesla may get booted from New York State. As most adults know, actions have consequences, and Tesla seems to be feeling all of the consequences of Elon Musk's power grab in Washington, D.C. As an unelected individual, he has been granted powers on par with the President of the United States, at times. That has been causing an uproar, and Tesla is paying the price for his need to control the American government. There are even accusations that Musk meddled with the elections in order to make Trump win.

Trump announced a 25 percent tariff on cars and auto parts that are not made in the United States. While Teslas are made in the U.S., Musk said the tariff will affect his company too. He wrote on social media, "To be clear, this will affect the price of parts in Tesla cars that come from other countries. The cost impact is not trivial." Canada is also making sure Musk suffers for the hate and chaos he has been causing worldwide. Canada has frozen all rebate payments for Tesla. It has also banned it from future EV rebate programs. There is a growing united resistance to America's deadliest car.

The resistance to Musk and Tesla in New York is coming from State Senator Patricia Fahy. Senator Fahy introduced a bill that would revoke permits for Tesla’s five sales locations in New York. To add insult to injury, other electric vehicle makers would be allowed to compete for the permits. Fahy said, “No matter what we do, we’ve got to take this from Elon Musk. He’s part of an effort to go backwards.”
While some may say Tesla should not become a pawn in a political war, Trump already made it political when he played the part of a car salesman and hawked Teslas from the White House. The great thing is that there are many safer options than Tesla, so New Yorkers will still have solid choices for electric vehicles if the bill passes.
