Taste of Buffalo: 9th Grade Student from Akron Wins Poster Design Contest [Photo]
I am so ready for the Taste of Buffalo to be here! In the meantime, check out the festival poster designed by a 9th grade student from Akron!
Congratulations to Olivia Zackey, a ninth-grade home-schooled student from Akron!! She is the winner of the 2017 Taste of Buffalo Tops Poster Art contest. Her artwork will be featured on the cover of the event’s festival guide and on the festival poster. She also scored a $750 prize, provided by Tops Friendly Markets, for herself and the Rivendell Study Center, the home education center that she attends.
The Taste of Buffalo will take place on July 8 and 9, 2017 along Delaware Avenue and Niagara Square in downtown Buffalo.
The Taste of Buffalo presented by Tops is the nation's largest two-day food festival, attracting more than 450,000 visitors each year. The 34th annual Taste will take place on July 8 and 9, 2017 along Delaware Avenue and Niagara Square in downtown Buffalo. The Taste is a not-for-profit organization with more than 1,000 volunteers helping to put on the annual event. More than $360,000 has been raised at the festival for local charities in addition to five $1,000 scholarships awarded annually to local high school seniors pursuing a culinary or hospitality-related degree.
