The Barbz (aka Nicki Minaj's fans) weren't so happy with Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins' remarks about rappers and artists "who can't sing" that are now judging on reality competition shows. Despite the Twitter backlash, the TLC singer stood by her comments in an interview with

In the 16-minute-long interview, T-Boz was talking with British personality Max about today's music industry and how some artists don't have longevity. The conversation then shifted to music competition shows like the 'X Factor' and 'American Idol' and the artists who are judging the talent.

Max questioned whether Demi Lovato was worthy to be an 'X-Factor' judge since she doesn't have a full body of work to speak of. T-Boz concurred and said that being a judge on those shows is a popularity contest. "I don’t respect half the people I've seen lately," she said. "How the hell is she gonna tell me what I should be doing when her a-- can’t even sing? Why is she there?"

"And then, now they got rappers that don’t even sing judging? So, this is totally based off of popularity, I guess," T-Boz continues. "I mean, to each their own. Get your money, honey. But all I'm saying is, I will never watch y'all shows again."

Although T-Boz didn't mentioned anyone by name, she did go on Twitter Friday (Nov. 9) to clarify that she was talking about reality competition shows and not the artists themselves. "My 1st comment was about Xfactor & some guest who can't sing judging then my 2nd was about American Idol & I stand by my statement Over NEXT," she tweeted.

When the Barbz bombarded T-Boz's timeline with hateful tweets defending their queen, T-Boz continued to stand by her statements but added that she wasn't taking shots at Minaj. "I don't hv a problem w/ Nikki I don't like what the shows stand for," she wrote. "I'll say what I think & always will. I think it's funny the truth is the truth. Ha. The name calling s--- is hysterical cuz I don't wanna watch."

T-Boz offered this last parting tweet to the Barbz who still didn't accept her forceful stance. "So get mad...scratch ya a-- ...take a picture. But [remember]... I'll say what I want that doesn't mean I don't like or respect someone lol."

Twitter feud aside, T-Boz is currently working on a reality show and plans to reunite with fellow TLC member Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas for their first studio album in 10 years.
