The first round of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft took place on Friday night and the Buffalo Sabres had a busy evening.

The Sabres had two first round picks, after trading veteran defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen to the Philadelphia Flyers for the 14th-overall pick in 2021, along with a second round pick in 2023 and defenseman Robert Hagg.

The Sabres took defenseman Owen Power with the first-overall pick and forward Isak Rosen at number 14.

After the Sabres drafted Power, the team released a surprise video on social media. It’s just under 1:45 in length and features longtime Sabres goaltender and recently retired Ryan Miller voicing over how much he loves Buffalo and what Power should expect when he comes to Western New York.

This video is giving all Buffalonians chills and to be honest, it could make you cry — it’s THAT good.

Watch the video below.
Ryan Miller is easily one of the most beloved former Sabres player ever. He spent nearly 15 years as part of the organization and 11 years with the Sabres to begin his NHL career. He is the Sabres all-time leader in wins and the winningest American-born goaltender in NHL history.

That video means so much to Sabres fans and I think it’s a wonderful introduction for Owen Power and what to expect living in Western New York.

I miss Miller so much and a part of me wants him back as part of the organization in some way.

We still love you, Ryan.
