Storm System Could Bring Lake Effect Snow and Wind To WNY Next Week
The weather should be fairly quiet on Thanksgiving and throughout the holiday weekend, except for some lingering rain on Turkey Day. That should change by Monday, however.
According to WGRZ, there's a storm system that meteorologists are keeping an eye on that will impact the Great Lakes and northeast early next week.
Right now, there's potential for rain and wind on Monday with lake effect snow Tuesday into Wednesday. It will be breezy on both Monday and Tuesday.
WIVB is also reporting on that storm system bringing soaking rain and increasing winds Monday and scattered snow showers and lake effect snow on Tuesday.
It's still too early to say how much snow we will get but it's something to keep in mind heading out of the holiday weekend.
November has been warmer than normal for Buffalo and while there has been measurable snow across the southern tier and areas east of the Buffalo metro, it still hasn't snowed considerably in the city and surrounding suburbs....but we know it's only a matter of time.
For me personally, snow this time of year is welcomed. I love how it adds to the holiday season. After New Year's Eve, however, I can be done with snow!
