According to WIVB, a cold front will work its way through Western New York on Tuesday and make for dropping temperatures. Rain will stick around for Monday but switch to spotty snow showers on Tuesday with more organized snow late on Tuesday night and into Wednesday (New Year's Day).

3-6 inches could fall in the southern tier with maybe an inch in the Buffalo metro.

New Year's Eve will see steady winds and chance of snow showers. The ball drop will be pretty chilly, as the real-feel will be close to 20 degrees, so bundle up!
