Have you seen this Snow Leopard Cub from the Seneca Park Zoo out near Rochester?

The Seneca Park Zoo has been updating fans on Facebook on what's going on with this super cute little baby:

So far this snow leopard has had it's eyes open up, and his upper respiratory infection seems to be improving, and he has been eating more. This little one has gained just 100g since birth.

We want to thank our incredible Zoo staff for their dedication and around the clock care, including bottle feeding the cub. The overnight schedule can be particularly difficult, and we are committed to making sure this little cub receives the best care possible!"

Seneca Park Zoo is home to now three snow leopards, a male named Kaba, a female named Timila. Kaba was born in May of 2010 and came to the Zoo in 2011, and Timila came to the Zoo in March of 2018. Their offspring, Silver, was born to mom Timila on May 27, 2019 and now resides at Rolling Hills Zoo in Kansas. The new Snow Leopard does not have a name yet.

Here's some fun Snow Leopard facts: Snow leopard eyes are light green or gray, unusual for big cats, which usually have yellow or gold eyes. Snow leopards are mainly active at dawn or dusk, so they are rarely seen in the wild. Snow leopards can’t roar because of an under-development of vocal tissue. The snow leopard is very rare in most of its range, with an estimated 3,500 to 7,000 remaining in their natural ranges, and 600 to 700 in zoos worldwide. They are also listed under the Endangered Species Act of 1972.
