Twitter has become a breeding ground for racist people to attack cute kids who violate threaten their idea of America. First it was the beautiful mixed girl in the Cheerios girl, now folks are hating on the Mex-American boy who sang the National Anthem in San Antonio.

NBA Facebook

11-year-old Sebastien De La Cruz had the honor of standing in for Country music artist Darius Rucker (Formerly known as Hootie from Hoootie and the Blowfish) as the opening act for the NBA Finals Game 3 Tuesday night. As an American citizen who’s parents are from Mexico, he proudly wore a traditional Mariachi suit as he sang the National Anthem.

Sebastien's performance received overwhelming support from the crowd, but online gangsters came out the woodwork to dampen the mood with several negative and distasteful comments.

"This kid is Mexican, why is he singing the national anthem. #yournotamerican #gohome" from Ben Koeck.

"Miami=cute white girl sings national anthem. San Antonio= gets a little Mexican to sing it ... I thought this was America!!!" from Zac doc.

And on Twitter....

Sebastien's personal Facebook and Twitter has been flooded with praise following all the hate.

And the NBA loved him so much, they invited him back to open up at Game 3. He even got an endorsement by San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro. Watch the video.

Folks need to realize that this little boy IS the face of America 2020. Although Hispanics currently make up 16 percent of Americans, according to a recent Census Bureau report, the rising generation in America will be more diverse.

The Huffington Post reported Thursday that

"For the first time, America's racial and ethnic minorities now make up about half of the under-5 age group. It's a historic shift that shows how young people are at the forefront of sweeping changes by race and class."

Last time I read the history books Brown people were here in America WAY before any White person. So folks really need to humble themselves and realize that Europeans are the Illegal immigrants here not us!! And in case you're wondering, YES I am NATIVE American and proud!
