Rapper 21 Savage Arrested by ICE for Over-Staying Visa

I swear I thought this guy was from Atlanta...but apparently I was wrong! Rapper 21 Savage has been arrested by ICE agents for allegedly over-staying his Visa! Get the full cup of Tea here!

21 was arrested in Atlanta this morning (February 3), by Immigration and Customs Enforcement or ICE, as it is better known, in a targeted sting. They claim he is not a U.S. citizen and has over-stayed his visa, according to EastTexasMatters.com! A spokesman for Ice says that 21 is actually a citizen of the U.K. They say he came here legally as a teen and has stayed past the expiration of his visa, which expired in July of 2006. His real name is Shayaabin Abraham-Joseph.

"Mr. Abraham-Joseph is presently in ICE custody in Georgia and has been placed into removal proceedings before the federal immigration courts. ICE will now await the outcome of his case before a federal immigration judge to determine future actions."

21's lawyer issued a statement as well:

"We are working diligently to get Mr. Abraham-Joseph out of detention while we work with the authorities to clear up any misunderstandings. "Mr. Abraham-Joseph is a role model to the young people in this country, especially in Atlanta, Georgia, and is actively working in the community leading programs to help underprivileged youths in financial literacy." ~ Dina LaPolt said in a statement to CNN.
