R. Kelly's 'Girlfriend' Azriel Clary Says He's Been Lying

If you watched Surviving R. Kelly and Surviving R. Kelly, Part II: The Reckoning, then you have become familiar with Azriel Clary. According to her parents, she had their blessing in working with Kelly when she was 17-years-old. Supposedly, she could only be with him if one of her parents or her older sister was with her. Her sister even told a story during the documentary where she went to Chicago with Azriel, only to get kicked out of R. Kelly's studio and dropped off by his security. Her parents said that R. Kelly arranged for a woman from the record company to be Azriel's guardian, while she accompanied him on tour. Well, once she turned 18, her family said she stopped communicating with them. She eventually became one of R. Kelly's last-standing girlfriends. She and Joycelyn Savage created videos for the media, where they said they weren't being held against their will, that they were happy and that basically, R. Kelly was the greatest guy on earth.

Fast-forward to yesterday, when all that changed! Azriel released a series of videos of Instagram Live, where she calls Kelly a liar. She also threatens Joycelyn, saying that she will be going to jail for sleeping with a minor (Azriel).

As a viewer of the Surviving R. Kelly series and a follower of all of the allegations throughout the years, this is a big deal! This girl has been standing by Kelly's side up until recently. But now, she has admitted that everything she said and did to defend him against the allegations was fabricated! Check out the videos below!

R. Kelly's attorney, who has denied all of the claims and says all the women are lying and looking for a come up, has denied Azriel's claims.

My thoughts: I definitely believe that R. Kelly has preyed upon young and older ladies and teenage girls, using his fame to convince them and their families that he isn't a predator. He did marry Aaliayh at the age of 15! If the allegations over the years are true, he has used his status to reel so many females in, promising to help with their careers. It's unfortunate that so many people have chosen to ignore all the red flags and evidence, just because they wanted their shot at fortune and fame. I just hope that parents of girls have taken head because unfortunately, this isn't the last time this type of thing will happen!
