Potholes Vs Speed Humps, What Causes More Damage To Your Car
What started as an attempt by City officials to help make streets safer for residents has turned into one of those things that people complain about. It seems no matter what you try, there are going to be people who cannot find a happy place. That seems to be exactly the case when it comes to Buffalo's Slow Streets Program, which most people know as the city's Speed Hump Program.
From the South District to the North District, people have complained about the speed humps for the last four years. As someone who lives on a street in Buffalo that people like to speed down, I am generally in favor of the program, but I have to admit that sometimes I even complain as city officials may have gone too far.
However, one complaint that I have heard for the last few years is about how the speed humps are worse on your car than riding through Buffalo's potholes. Which got me to thinking, are speed humps worse on your car than potholes?
What Causes More Damage To Your Car: Speed Humps or Potholes?
With hundreds of speed humps installed across Buffalo's 1,600 miles of roads, there are very few side and residential streets you can drive down without having to go over a bump. But, are the humps worse than the potholes, or are people overreacting?

So, when it's all set and done, I think we can agree that while speed humps are annoying, they are nowhere near as damaging to your car as potholes can be to your car.
Now that we know which streets city officials are planning to repair this year, we should see some improvement on the pothole front.
