It doesn't give much credibility to food manufacturers in America. Over the past month, several meat recalls have affected New York. As consumers, it is pretty unsettling to know that there are so many issues with our food.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service issued a public health alert for pulled pork products sold at Hannaford grocery stores in New York. Unfortunately, for people with allergies, nothing seems to be safe. Too many companies have issued recalls due to undeclared allergens, which could potentially kill someone with allergies. In this case, the pulled pork products have undeclared allergens. The two ready-to-eat pork products - barbecue pulled pork and pulled pork burrito filling - were prepared using Worcestershire sauce, which contains soy. According to FoodAllergy.org, 1.9 million Americans have an allergy to soy. The burrito filling also contains anchovies and egg whites - 2.7 million Americans have an egg allergy, and 2.7 million have a fin fish allergy.
The products at the center of the recall were produced between April 3, 2025, and July 9, 2025.
